With over 70 years of experience in the field of electrical connections and as a protagonist for many years in the renewable energy sector in Italy, Cabur offers advanced and complete solutions for electric mobility.
ALSTOM is a company present all over the world that operates in the sector of train construction and railway infrastructure. The company, which boasts several offices throughout the country, met and chose Cabur for the electrification of its company fleet in the Vado Ligure (SV) plant, a production and maintenance center for rolling stock, locomotives and subsystems.
The development of the project was conducted jointly, visiting the Vado Ligure plant and analyzing the needs and the electrification idea proposed by ALSTOM.
The project
The project consists of the installation of 12 Cabur wall-mounted charging stations for electric and hybrid cars, along the wall adjacent to the parking stalls and another 9 on poles fixed to the ground, placed under a well-lit shelter.
The charging stations have a power of 22 kW in three-phase AC and are also capable of charging cars with single-phase power. ALSTOM has planned the construction of a special dedicated cabin, equipped with a transformer, thus guaranteeing sufficient power for fast and efficient charging of its electric fleet.
To comply with the safety and efficiency criteria relating to internal traffic, the cars are parked facing in the direction of travel. For cars with a charging point positioned at the front, 8 meter long power cables have been supplied.
The plant is already fully operational.
The project constitutes an excellent starting point for future developments: to increase the number of charging stations or to implement the Cabur EV NET platform for remote monitoring of consumption.
